3-Day Juice Cleanse: the Recap

So I finished my 3-day juice cleanse with Blueprint Cleanse. Now y’all want my thoughts, right? Note: This is not a sponsored post!

I thought about doing a super detailed recap of every moment. I even took a ton of notes throughout the three days. However, I just don’t see the value in sharing such mundane details. Instead, here are the high level and, in my opinion, most important details surrounding this cleanse and my experience. Hopefully it helps you decide if the Blueprint Cleanse is right for you. Everyone’s experience is and will be different!

> Which cleanse did I choose? The Renovation cleanse. Their “entry level” cleanse with more fruits involved.

> Why did I do the cleanse? To jump start a healthy weight loss plan of exercise and portion control / clean eating.

> Did I lose any weight? I lost 3.4 pounds total from the 20 pounds I’d like to eventually lose (obviously all water). The weight will easily dive back on if I don’t continue healthy eating and exercise.

> Would I do this again? Maybe. I’d probably do a hybrid juice cleanse with my own recipes and juicer. This shiz was expensive, but at the moment, I needed convenience. It was perfect for convenience.

> Did I miss solid foods? Not at all, surprisingly.

> Worst surprise? Massive headache and nausea on Day 1. Literally cried it was so bad.

> Best surprise? Slept like a rock for the first time in ages every single night.

> Most important lesson learned? Wean off coffee, alcohol & carbs before ever doing another cleanse. The withdrawal of coffee, alcohol & carbs was the perfect storm to the massive headache tantrum I received.

> Best decision? Doing the cleanse Friday-Sunday. I would not have been focused enough or had enough energy to sustain the 3 days during the work week. I mostly relaxed during this time and had the chance to go to bed early. Friday was pretty easy until I got the headache around 4pm.

> Favorite drink? Tied for P.A.M. and Spicy Lemonade (see descriptions below).

> Least favorite drink? C.A.B., until I made my husband blend it with ice for me on Day 2. Then the Green Juice came into last place.

> Overall thoughts on the drinks? They’re all pretty decent. The Green Juice was super bitter at first, but by Day 3, I was chugging it! I think Day 1 is tough because it’s all new and you’re dealing with withdrawals but the juices are pretty great overall.

Have you done a juice cleanse before? Are you considering one? I’m happy to answer any questions you have!
